Celebrating 90 Years

In celebration of our 90th anniversary, we give thanks for past blessings that God has given, ask for increasing awareness of opportunities in the present, and hope for joys in what God will do in the future.

Through Sunday worship we will celebrate the Word with one of our India missionaries, the Rev. Dr.Neeraj Ekka on Friendship Sunday February 19.

In April former pastor Rev. Fred Vonderlage will preach the Word as we celebrate Holy Humor Sunday and enjoy a church and community picnic with special music, clowns and children’s activities. We also will celebrate the anniversaries of our clergy members.

Later in the year we will raise up our Haiti mission with a visit from our Synod Haiti representative Dr. Pat Hansen.

In November we will hear the Word from former pastor Rev. Hugh Mozingo who served our congregation for 17 years. We will also celebrate with a church-wide banquet. for members and former members.

Our liturgies will contain special prayers for our anniversary, and we will sing many hymns and have special music which will raise up how “We have come this far by faith.”

We hope to hear the memories of former members who may visit or write greetings.

We plan to continue our many community missions as we
Live the word, Proclaim Christ and Fill the need.

As we have been blessed, may we also be a blessing.
