Nuture Teams

Shepherds:

This program is designed to keep the congregation connected, informed and participating. Each member of St. John has a shepherd to care for him/her.

Card Ministry:

Anniversary, birthday, sympathy, and cheer/encouragement cards are sent to let each member know we care.

Senior Transportation:

We aid those who are sick / unable to drive to doctors, pick-up groceries and / or medications. We transport members who cannot otherwise get to church services.

Prayer Chain:

We pray on a continuing basis for short term, long term and confidential healing of our members and extended family. We give thanks for healing.

Special Events:

We plan, prepare for, or assist in special events. We host a New Member Dinner to welcome those who join, and an Appreciation Dinner for those who work behind the scenes.

Programs We Oversee:

Parish Nursing, Grief Groups, Prayer for Healing Ministry, Singles Group, and Weight Loss Group.

As Jesus cares and knows us, we are to care and know each other.

Scripture: 1 Peter 4:8-10

Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
